Gorges du Verdon

Montpezat is a village perched on the edge of the Gorges de Baudinard and Var and located not far from Germany-en-Provence. The village is divided into two parts since the merger of Montagnac and Montpezat and strangely these two "neighborhoods" are quite far from each other!, So it will be necessary to choose which of the two you prefer, unless of course of to fall in love with both? Montpezat is high up. The village overlooks an arm of the Verdon which would almost serve as a lake if the latter was not prohibited from swimming because of its unstable submarine soil. However, and like many villages in the Verdon, Montpezat offers these visitors a breathtaking view, a well deserved view after making a few kilometers to get there. Your stop in Montpezat will be short-lived but you have two villages for the price of one, so go to Montagnac ...
