Riez is a small town with a Roman origin, at the west side of Verdon, easy to access because it???s located about ten kilometers from the highway on the Valensole / Moustiers Sainte Marie road. A very charming little town, smelling like Provence, that could remind you of Aups. You???ll find some Ancient Roman remains not far from the town center. Don???t expect many Roman rocks, but you will like the columns, now a symbol of the town. In summer, you will be in your element, walking under the plane trees on the main street offering many cafés and nice restaurants. As nice as Riez inhabitants ??? pleasant. Note for the camper vans owners : there is a large non-asphalt place very close from the town center for you.
