Gorges du Verdon

Saint Jurs

The village is in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the extreme north of the country of Verdon but with a breathtaking view of the region and the Valensole plateau.
You will discover Saint Jurs in a very beautiful way and seeing it from a distance. As much to go to the goal it is about a very pretty village, you will be charmed by the image of the village perched on its mountain and surrounded by a forest crown. Do not expect however to find a multitude of shops, restaurants and other signs of intensive tourism. However, a campsite is at your disposal not far from Saint Jurs and at the beginning of the only road (paved) which will take you to the village; it is also this road that will offer you access to Puimoisson and Riez.
Saint Jurs is surrounded by a thick forest, walkers will be delighted to walk there while owners of 4x4 will be able to go to Barrême and the east side of the Verdon. It will still take a lot of courage and patience.
